It’s a new year! The new year bring on a time for reflection, and ultimately a time for goal setting. I love setting goals. This year my goals include being more intentional about putting God first, focusing more on my own personal artwork, and getting more fit. What kind of goals have you set for yourself? Here are some tips for helping to create goals that you can stick to:

  1. Think Big, Act Small
Have a big goal in mind? Great! Don’t let that goal weigh you down with how big it is. The best way to get anywhere, is one step at a time. Break your goal down into smaller action steps that will help you reach your larger goal.
  2. Put it on Your Calendar
If you want to start doing something, schedule the time to make it happen. It’s harder to put off when you are intentional about creating the time and space to achieve your goal.
  3. Don’t be too Hard on Yourself
If you didn’t get off on the right foot trying to reach your goal, it’s okay. If it’s still something worth going after, just pick right back up where you left off (or try a new approach to getting there)!
